Your agents get a body on the desk

WhalePet is a living pet on your Mac. It reads local coding-agent activity, shows hunger and mood from usage, and only interrupts when a task finishes or needs your decision. Install free. Sign in later for cloud chat and custom pets.

What happens when you work

Not a chat toy. Not a cold usage meter. Agent facts become life signs and motions.

Agent finishes a task

It celebrates on the desktop

Done signals turn into motion and a short reaction. You stay in the editor; the pet does the shout.

Usage climbs

Hunger and mood shift

Local quota / session usage maps to belly and energy. When it is starving or sleepy, the idle loop changes. No toast spam for every percent.

It needs you

Quiet guard only

System alerts only for task complete or needs confirmation. No hourly standup, no PR nag, no rest lectures.

Several agents run

Fleet view in the menu bar

See who is running, done, or blocked. The same pet sits on the desktop so status is ambient, not another dashboard tab.

Three surfaces. One pet.

Desktop floater, menu-bar panel, menu-bar icon. Same creature, different zoom levels.

Desktop with WhalePet blue whale

Desktop floater

Transparent, always-on-top, draggable. Idle loops, greets, celebrates. Does not steal focus.

WhalePet menu bar panel showing pet, vitals, and chat

Menu-bar panel

Vitals, fleet, chat, settings. Open when you want detail; close and keep coding.

Default face is the blue whale.

Bring your own photo later and talk the pet into being. Custom generation is optional depth, not the first step after install.

Get the versioned installer

Drag into Applications. Open from the menu bar. File name is never vague: WhalePet-0.2.1-b41.dmg
